Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (+3) did not make the cut in the NBO Oman Open after shooting a 74 in the second round. The golfer from Madrid still had a chance at playing over the weekend up to the 18th hole at the Al Mouj Golf (Muscat, Oman), but he needed a birdie and ended up with a double bogey.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (+1) did not get off to a great start in the NBO Oman Open after shooting a 73 in the first round, which currently puts him in 77th place, temporarily outside the cut line to be established on Friday.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will begin the ‘second half’ of his season this week, in the NBO Oman Open, European Tour tournament, followed by the Qatar Masters the next week, where the Spanish golfer will be. It’s his first contact of the year with the European Tour, after having earned back the rights to play in it at the end of last year in the Final Stage of the Qualifying School.
Outstanding performance by Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-7) in the last round of the Club Colombia Championship, with four birdies on the last six holes at the Bogotá Country Club, ending the round with a score of 70 shots, one under for the day, finishing in eighth place.

A score that has allowed him to move up in the rankings, enter the top ten and to position himself at three shots from the leader, British golfer Ben Taylor (-9), and just one away from second place.
