Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño was eager to get the thorn out of his side indeed after what happened one week ago in the Bahamas. The Madrid native started off in the Bahamas Great Abaco, second consecutive tournament of the Web.com Tour on the Caribbean Island, with an excellent round of 67 shots and he is now positioned at just one shot away from the leader.

The second round of the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay could not be completed due to lack of light, however, Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño has already accepted that he will not make the cut. The Spanish golfer finished with an accumulated total of three over par after both rounds, three shots away from the objective.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño was not able to complete the first round of the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay due to lack of light, but he got off to a very promising start. After 14 holes played, he is currently with a partial score of one under par, six shots from the leader.
The final stage of the Web.com Tour Qualifying School has turned into a full-on war of birdies. Anything short of in the sixties means losing a lot of ground, perhaps too much...
