Gonzalo Fernández Castaño is back in action this week in the Knoxville Open, after having pulled off his best score in a long time in the Web.com Tour (he finished in 24th place in Indiana a few weeks ago, breaking a dry spell of missed cuts) and thus, having regained his confidence back. The objective continues to be the same, of course: to get closer to the top 25 in the Web.com Tour rankings (he is currently in 43rd place).
The final stretch at the Victoria Golf Club in Indiana took a toll on Gonzalo’s card once again. The golfer from Madrid was on his way to finishing with a solid performance in the Web.com Tour United Leasing & Finance Championship, to the point of battling it out for a spot in the top five, up until the last five holes.
