Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will play in the Panama Championship this Thursday, Web.com Tour tournament to which he did not have access until finishing in fourth place last week in the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic. An extra ball for the golfer from Madrid who is confident he will make the most of it.
Gonzalo’s game is in a good place right now. He already proved this in the last tournament, and it’s shown these past few days of practice with Mariano Bartolome. This event in Panama is the first of four consecutive weeks of golf with long plane trips, seeing as how Panama and the Colombia in the Web.com Tour will be followed by Oman and Qatar in the European Tour. A long stretch of tournaments which Gonzalo is confident he can benefit from.
The first immediate goal is for a good performance in Panama to start to pave the way toward the PGA Tour card. He is currently in thirteenth place in the Web.com Tour rankings. Keep in mind that the top 25 will earn the card at the end of the year.
Gonzalo will play on Thursday starting at 2:10 pm, Spanish time.
