Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will start the long race to the finish line of the Web.com with the Price Cutter Charity Championship this week, in which there are four tournaments left before going into the Web.com Tour Finals. After the intense European tour, in which he played in four tournaments, the golfer from Madrid needs to focus on achieving his goals on the other side of the Atlantic, which are no small feat, indeed.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-8) ended the last round of the Scottish Open with a 71, one over par for the day, finishing in 32nd place, definitely below his own expectations after the solid first three rounds, apart from starting off on Sunday just four shots away from the leader.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-9) shot a 68 in the third round of the Scottish Open, four shots away from the leader, but with a considerable amount of golfers in between, all with the possibility of winning at reach. As many as 26 golfers will start the last and definitive round on the hunt for leader Jens Dantorp (-13), at only a four-shot advantage.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-7) is now in an interesting fifteenth place in the Scottish Open after the second round, six shots from the sole leader and star of the tournament, British golfer Robert Rock (-13).
Gonzalo Fernández Catsaño (-3) got off to a good start in the Scottish Open after shooting a 67, three under for the day at the Gullane Golf Club, landing him currently at four shots away from the sole leader, Luke List, but at the top of the rankings, two shots from the top ten.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño made it on to the Scottish Open roster in the end, held this week at the Gullane Golf Club (Gullane, East Lothian, Scotland), the last tournament of the four consecutive weeks of the European Tour for Gonzalo, unless he gets a last minute spot in the British Open, held at Carnoustie next week. In order to accomplish this lofty goal, he’ll need to finish in the top ten and among the top three who aren’t already qualified.
