Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño continues on the fight to maintain the American tour card in 2015. It's not going to be easy, but it wasn't last year either and he was able to pull through, just after the US Open to be exact, so it would be safe to say that we are going into the part of the season that could defined as 'Gonzalo territory'.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño´s participation in the John Deere Classic will commence today, PGA Tour date held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. Gonzalo will go out to play the first round starting at 8.20 pm, Spanish Peninsular time, together with John Huh and Martin Flores.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño finished his participation in The Greenbrier Classic with 71 shots for a total score of six below par. The Madrid native ended up in 37º place. It wasn’t the Sunday he’d hoped for, although there are more positive conclusions to be drawn than negative.
It was Gonzalo's time to shine in an action-packed day at The Greenbrier Classic. the Spanish golfer shot a 66, the third best of day, and climbed up over thirty spots in the rankings placing him at seventeenth.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a 70 in the second round of The Greenbrier Classic and made the cut with an accumulated total of three under par. Not only did he make the cut, but also has many options due to the fact that the differences in the rankings are slight. The Madrid native is four shots from the top ten and just six shots from the leaders with 36 holes left to play.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will begin his participation today in The Greenbrier Classic, PGA Tour event held on The Old White TPC in West Virginia, which will once again be granting spots for the Open Championship.
