Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño finished off the second round of the Human Challenge, date of the PGA Tour, held in California. The Spanish golfer played on the La Quinta course, the least accessible of the three courses of this tournament, and lost ground in the rankings.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño has already put that uncertain first round of golf of the year behind him. It was at the Human Challenge, on the Palmer Private course at La Quinta, in California. All in all, a good outcome. The Spanish golfer landed a 69 and currently stands in 56th place.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will start the season off this Thursday in the Human Challenge, third date of the PGA Tour in 2015, held on three different courses in California: PGA West Palmer Private, PGA West Nicklaus Private and La Quinta. It will be the first tournament of the year for the Spanish golfer, along with the first benchmark test to measure how his game is doing after such a long period of eight weeks without competing.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño has decided to hire on a new coach. The Spanish golfer is already working in the US under the prestigious Randy Smith's orders, head coach of the Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas since 1980.

He'll focus more on the PGA Tour in February and March, with the objective of advancing on his card.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño didn't cease to rise up in the rankings at the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament. The Spanish golfer finished under 70 shots once again in the fourth and final round of the Japan Tour tournament, finishing in twentieth place.
