Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will compete in the Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at the Abaco Club, second tournament of the Web.com Tour and second consecutive tournament in the Bahamas.
The Madrid native is confident that he’ll be able to get the bad taste out of his mouth, still lingering from the first event, one week and one day ago. Gonzalo played in the Bahamas Great Exuma and did not make the cut. He started off well, high up in the rankings, landings birdies, but little by little he began to fall off the wagon until eventually he missed the cut.
Although the final score was a disappointment, Gonzalo’s morale and confidence are in tact. He knows he’s worked hard this winter, and he’s got the experience of the European Tour Qualifying School under his belt. Which is why he’s confident the tables can be turned, and this time it will go as planned.
Gonzalo needs to have a good performance in order to improve his ranking in the Tour and to have access to the most amount of tournaments possible. He’ll play on Sunday at 7:24 pm, local Spanish time, with Sebastian Cappelen and Jhared Hack.
