Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño

Gonzalo Fernández Castaño

  • Gonzalo buries the first stone

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño made the cut at The McGladrey Classic. The Spanish golfer locked in a good round for a 69 on the second day of the tournament held at the Seaside Course in Georgia, securing the first weekend of the PGA Tour season.

  • "The beginning of the season has been disheartening”

Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will fly to Shanghai this coming Monday, where, starting on Thursday, he will attempt to defend his title at the BMW Masters, the first tournament of the Final Series of the European tour. Before taking off from Chicago, he had to make a sincere evaluation of where he stands, now that it's come time for this tournament.

  • A par, for starters

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño made his debut today at the Farmers Insurance Open with a par, making the provisional cut of the tournament.

  • A tough day at the office

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño won't be playing this weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open. One fateful day on the Torrey Pines South Course left him out of the cut at his first tournament of the PGA.

  • An insufficient improvement

Gonzalo Fernández Castaño missed the cut at the Valero Texas Open after having turned in a second card for 72 shots. The wind called a ceasefire and let off a bit at the JW Marriott TPC San Antonio, and as a result there were better scores. The Madrid native, in fact, was in a position to make the cut, especially after he landed an incredible eagle on the 18th (he started his round off on the 10th), sinking a putt from a little farther than 10 meters out.

  • Another step forward

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño ended up with a 70 in the last round of THE PLAYERS Championship. The Spanish golfer left the PGA Tour tournament with a good taste in his mouth, having played three days at a good level, and having fought through a tough Friday afternoon where he showed he was capable ofplaying with the best of the best.

  • Asian Heat

Hi everyone! I'm writing to you from up in the air on my last flight of the week, final destination, Miami. Since I had a stroke of bad luck (no pun intended) and my seat is broken and won't recline, I've decided that since I'm not going to be able to sleep, I'll kill some time by writing my third blog entry.

  • Birdies for a cause at the Spanish Open

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño one of Spain's leading golf professionals will donate 100 euros per birdie at the 2014 Spanish Open to the Make-A-Wish Spain Foundation Spain. This years host of the European Tour event is sponsored by Reale Seguros and hosted at the PGA Catalunya Resort.

  • Clear-minded and ready to go

Gonzalo, Francesco Molinari and Jeff Paul, Fernández-Castaño's caddie.

Hi everyone! Vacation is over, time to get back to the grind. The first stop of a three-week streak of tournaments is the Humana Challenge in Palm Springs, California. And it's incredible how fast the good part comes to an end.

  • Dave Stockton joins the team

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño has decided to recruit a new coach into his usual work team: the North American corroborated guru of putt, Dave Stockton.
