Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño has decided to recruit a new coach into his usual work team: the North American corroborated guru of putt, Dave Stockton.
The relationship started at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, by early February, and from the first moment the sensations were very positive. Such was the case that they decided to extend the agreement for the whole 2014.
Gonzalo and Stockton worked again at the Northern Trust Open and at the WGC Accenture, just last week, and the evaluation is very good. “I really like his working method, based on sensations and not so much on technique. I have signed for the whole year with him and the results are promising, since during the week of Riviera I putted very well”, explains the Spaniard.
Stockton is one of the most famous putt coaches of the American tour. Not for nothing, top-players such as Phil Mickelson or Rory McIlroy have worked with him.
