Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño ended up with a 70 in the last round of THE PLAYERS Championship. The Spanish golfer left the PGA Tour tournament with a good taste in his mouth, having played three days at a good level, and having fought through a tough Friday afternoon where he showed he was capable ofplaying with the best of the best.
It's no easy task to make a positive analysis out of a round in which you made a double bogey and a triple bogey. However, there are days like today when it's worth it to make the effort. The second round for Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño begins and ends with the putter. His game wasn't as refined as on Thursday from tee to green, but he managed to correct it enough to stay afloat until the 3-putts on the last leg put him on thin ice.

Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will participate in THE PlAYERS Championship for the second time this Thursday, referred to as the fifth major of the season for its million dollar prize pool, the highest-paying of the year, including the 'majors' (ten million dollars and more than $1,700,000 for the winner...), and also known for the caliber of the players who participate.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño didn't make the cut at the Wells Fargo Championship upon turning in his card for a 76 after the second round of the tournament, held on the Quail Hollow course in North Carolina.
