Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a 70 in the second round of the BMW Charity Pro Am, Web.com Tour tournament played in the pro am format, on three separate courses in South Carolina, and at which the cut will be made today.
Gonzalo played a great round of golf at The Preserve at Verdae, the route that’s proven to be the toughest of the three, at least that’s what the average score shows. He made six birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey in the end that always leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, although the general outcome was positive. The Spanish golfer got bumped down around ten places in the rankings, although today he’ll play at the Thornblade Golf Club, a course that appears to be more accessible according to the scores.
Fernández Castaño currently stands at seven over par, in the top 30, three shots from the top ten and six from the leaders. Today he’ll play at 10:10, local time, 4:10 pm in Spain.
