Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a 67 in the first round of the BMW Charity Pro Am presented by Synnex Corporation, special edition of the Web.com Tour held on three different courses in South Carolina.
Gonzalo played on the Reserve at Lake Keowee, a par 72 drawn up and designed by Jack Nicklaus. He shot a 67, with six birdies and just one bogey, placing him temporarily in 13° place, three shots from the leaders’ ring. Off to a good start.
Fernández-Castaño will play in the second round on Friday on the Preserve at Verdae course, which proved to be the toughest of the three.
Keep in mind that the cut will be on Saturday, after all golfers have played all three courses.
