Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño turned in his second consecutive card for par in the Rex Hospital Open, securing his spot in the tournament in this edition of the Web.com Tour held at the TPC Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Gonzalo has an accumulated score of PAR, right at the limit to make the cut. It was a tough day of golf, down to the wire. He spent more time on the margin of the cut rather than within the cut, but a birdie on the 15th hole assured his presence over the weekend. Now it’s just a matter of moving forward.
The top ten is ten shots away and the two leaders are nine away. It’s a significant distance, but doable with two good rounds on the 36 holes left to play. Gonzalo will start early, at 1:18 pm Spanish time, with Ian Davis.
