Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a 73 to kick off the United Leasing Championship, Web.com Tour tournament held on the Victoria National Course in Indiana. The Spanish golfer played an intense round, with four bogeys and three birdies, but he polished off the round with a birdie which should be the focal point for the start of the second round.
Gonzalo made it past the provisional cut of the tournament with his eyes on the prize, the top of rankings within reach. He's just four shots from the top ten. The leader is Bhavik Patel with a score of seven under par. He's got a three-shot advantage over second place.
Gonzalo will play in the second round at 2:03 pm, on the 1st hole of the glorious course in Irving, Indiana.
