Gonzalo Fernández Castaño played 32 holes this Friday in the Club Colombia Championship, second tournament of the year of the Web.com Tour, and the overall assessment isn’t exactly satisfactory. The Madrid native finished with an accumulated total of +2 and didn't make the cut.
Gonzalo put up a good fight in the first round. When the game was reinstated early in the morning the Madrid native was at a total of +1 after four holes and managed to finish with a total of par. Right after, and without even having had time to eat nor rest, he began the second round. Gonzalo had a hard time with his swing, he was uncomfortable and shot a 73. He continues to have a high ratio of birdies, but his objective now is focused on minimizing the errors. “Longest day ever! Struggled with my swing for 32 holes. First missed cut of the year - hopefully last”, said in his Twitter official account.
