Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a 73 in the second round of the Web.com Tour Finals. Results that caused the Spanish golfer to get bumped down a few positions in the rankings, although he's already secured the cut and he will still have this weekend ahead to cover lost ground and to achieve the grand objective of the year.
Gonzalo started the round off well, but he had somewhat of a slip-up on the final part, with three bogeys on the last four holes. The battle is even more difficult now, but it's far from being lost and while he's still hanging on, there's hope, and Gonzalo is going to give it everything he's got.
Fernández-Castaño is now six shots away from eighth place, a position that could grant him the PGA Tour card for next year. It's a tough goal, but it's not impossible. There are still 36 holes left to play.
Gonzalo will go out to play this Saturday starting at 2:46 pm, Spanish time, together with Vaughn Taylor.
