Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will begin his participation in the Wyndham Championship today, the last tournament of the regular PGA Tour calendar, or in other words, the last opportunity to maintain the American Tour card without having to play in the Web.com Tour Finals as a last resort. The tournament will be held at the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Gonzalo doesn’t need a calculator to add it all up. It’s simple. He’ll maintain the card if he wins the Wyndham (two-year extension) or by coming in second tied with a maximum of two other golfers. It’s not impossible and the Madrid native will rise to the challenge with the conviction that his game is prepared to follow through with the objective. Gonzalo’s participation in the Wyndham will begin at 2:40 pm, Spanish Peninsular time. He’ll play together with Roberto Castro and Bo Van Pelt.
