Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will participate in the RBC Heritage starting this Thursday. The Madrid native is back in action again two weeks after having had this idea very clear in his mind: to bring to Hilton Head what he already started in the Shell Houston Open. He was onto something and had much better vibes, although his putt didn’t cooperate enough to really reflect this change in his end results. That’s how Gonzalo himself put it in his personal blog.
Gonzalo is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, little by little, the tunnel he’s been stuck in since the beginning of the season. Things didn’t turn out well at the start and now it’s his putt that seems to want to complicate things. In any case, Fernández Castaño is feeling optimistic in regards to what he saw two weeks ago, and he’s confident in being able to take another step forward this week, in other words, moving through the last stretch of the tunnel and stepping into the light.
Gonzalo will play at 1.20 pm, Spanish Peninsular time, accompanied by Bryce Molder and Blake Adams. The tournament will host title defender, Matt Kuchar and red hot Masters champion, Jordan Spieth.
