Gonzalo Fernández Castaño bid an early farewell to the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The Madrid native missed the cut after the second round with a card of 73 shots, and he's already got his eyes on the Valero Texas, the next event of the PGA Tour held at the TPC in San Antonio.
Things didn't go too well for Gonzalo at Bay Hill, a course that brings him really great memories, but of which, this week, he was unable to take full advantage in the first couple rounds.
Gonzalo said goodbye in a way known in the PGA Tour as the Florida Swing, a sequence of four consecutive tournaments that didn't turn out very well for the Spanish golfer.
In any event, Fernández Castaño will continue onwards and upwards, sure of the game he's been cultivating since the beginning of this year and convinced that things will shift for the better eventually. Why not at San Antonio.
