Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will begin his participation today in the Puerto Rico Open, PGA Tour event held on the Trump International Club in Rio Grande, in the heart of the Caribbean.
The Madrid native is going into the event with intentions of recovering the good vibes. All signs point to a good week in an ideal setting. The tournament is held in the middle of the Caribbean and Gonzalo will be able to count on the support of two fellow Spaniards and good friends of his, Álvaro Quirós and Rafa Cabrera Bello, both invited to the tournament as well.
It’s Gonzalo’s first time in Puerto Rico, due to the fact that this tournament coincides with the WGC Cadillac Championship, world championship in which the Spanish golfer has participated in, four out of the last five seasons. The objective is to return to Doral in 2016 and that will happen by doing things well in these upcoming weeks.
Fernández Castaño will play the first round at 4:50 pm, Spanish Peninsular time, together with Andrés Romero and SJ Park.
