Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño was left out of the cut at the Waste Management Phoenix Open after turning in a card for 77 shots. The Spanish golfer had an incredibly hard time amidst the cold and the rain throughout the round that was played on the TPC Scottsdale.
He started off with a bogey on the 1st hole, as if there were a dark premonition looming over, and ended the round with seven bogeys and just one lone birdie. A tough day at the office, especially from tee to green, where the Madrid native had a low success rate, just barely catching six.
That being said, he had to play catch up the entire time and was unable to land a shot that would help save the round.
Gonzalo is already on his way to California to play in next week's Farmers Open Insurance in Torrey Pines.
