Gonzalo Fernández Castaño will play in the Management Phoenix Open this Thursday, second test of the year 2015 after the Human Challenge, where the Madrid native played for four days and finished with a good vibe.
He said it himself on Sunday right after finishing the tournament in California that he was content to have played all four days and conscious that he has to give his swing some time. It should be reminded that Gonzalo has only been working with Randy Smith, his new coach, a little over a month.
Be that as it may, the changes are going toward the right direction and Gonzalo will attempt to take another step forward this week in Phoenix, at the TPC Scottsdale, one of the most peculiar events of the season due to the fact that the atmosphere is more similar to a soccer stadium in Spain than a functioning golf course. It's a week to have a good time, and that's what Gonzalo intends to do.
Additionally, the Spanish golfer will compete in the tournament just a few hours after having watched the documentary on the life of Severiano Ballesteros. “He's spectacular”, assured the Madrid native across his social networks. The inspiration from this genius from Cantabria will also serve as a big help this week.
Gonzalo will play in the afternoon session, at 12.52 on the dot, local time, together with Brendan Steele and Andrew Svoboda.
