Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño finished out his participation in the Human Challenge with a card of 71 shots on the PGA West Palmer Private in California. The Madrid native ended up in 59th place with an accumulated score of 10 under par.
Gonzalo's final round had a much more promising outlook in the beginning. In fact, after getting off to a great start in which he was able to maneuver his was to four under par for the day, he flirted with the possibility of top thirty, a more than decent result for being the first event of the year and after having come from behind due to back problems.
However, the round finished with a tough blow in the form of double bogey on holes 6 and 7, which caused him to fall back 20 positions on the scoreboard. A severe final slip-up that cancelled out a week's worth of hard work. Next week, new event of the PGA Tour, this time at the Phoenix Open in Arizona.
