Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño finished with a 70 in the last round of the KLM Open. The Madrid native finished in the 36th place with an accumulated score of 4 under par, ten shots away from the winner, Paul Casey.
Gonzalo made two birdies and two bogeys in this fourth round, causing him to go down a few spots in ranking in regards to Saturday. It wasn’t the finale he had hoped for, but in general, the return to the European Circuit for the Spanish golfer has been a positive one.
After having signed the card, now it’s time to think about resting and taking some time off. Gonzalo will have a period of almost an entire month’s worth of time away from competition, a more than deserved and necessary break, not forgetting that the Spanish golfer from Puerta de Hierro has played fourteen of the last sixteen weeks.
The next date will be the Frys.com Open, the opening tournament of the PGA Tour season in mid-October.
