Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño (-5) maintains his positive progression in the Deutsche Bank Championship. The Spanish player has signed a card of 68 shots on the third round and has placed in the twenty-first position. This situation still gives him mathematically a place in the third FedEX Cup playoff.
Gonzalo has played very well from tee to green. He has hit more than seventy per cent of fairways and greens and has created plenty of birdie options, not all have been very clear choices, but left the ball close to the hole today was not easy because the greens are very tough.
Even so, the most positive is that Gonzalo is in the numbers to play third playoff, his long game is in very good shape and he is not making heavy mistakes.
Gonzalo will play the final round on Monday because United States celebrates the Labor Day. Gonzalo will tee off along Jimmy Walker.
