Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will compete this Thursday in the PGA Championship in Valhalla, Louisville (Kentucky), a course with lots of character, host to none other than the Ryder Cup in 2008.
It will be the sixth PGA of Gonzalo's career, the major in which he's played the most, together with the British Open. In the five previous times he's participated, he made the cute on three occasions and his best ending result was 32º in 2009.
Gonzalo will play for the first time in Valhalla, although the first contact this time around has shown that it will seriously put him to the test, and will be anything but easy. He played the practice round with Martin Kaymer and John Daly and assured afterward that “there's not one easy hole”. Thus, it's going to be a tough challenge.
The Madrid native will play this Thursday starting on the 1st hole at 19.15, Spanish time, together with Canadian golfer Graham Delaet and American golfer Gary Woodland.
