Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño played another great round of golf at the RBC Canadian Open, tournament of the PGA Tour held at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Quebec.
The Spanish golfer finished the second round with a 67, for a total of 6 under par, placing him in the top ten of the tournament, just four shots away from leaders, Jim Furyk and Tim Petrovic.
Gonzalo was, once again, solid from tee to green. In fact, he only miscalculated one shot in the whole day and it cost him a painful double bogey on the 16th, after sending the ball to the water right off the bat. Even so, he was spectacular with the irons, landing a total of six birdies on the Canadian course, one of them on the 17th, an excellent response to the error on the previous hole.
Gonzalo's putt was much better today, even though he finished with the same number of total shots, and he has proven for the second day in a row now that he can maintain a low score on the Montreal course. Tomorrow, he'll play in the sixth of the last games of the day together with Australian golfer Greg Chalmers.
