Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will compete in the first round of the Travelers Championship today, a new tournament of the PGA Tour in which he'll try to leave the events of the US Open behind as quickly as possible, and look for the necessary change of the season, the wind in his favor, which up until now has been going against him this 2014.
The Spanish golfer will tee off on the 1st hole at 7.10, local time, 13.10 Spanish time. Gonzalo will play alongside Brendon de Jonge, one of the players who showed up for a great performance at Pinehurst last week, and Sean O'Hair.
The tournament will be held at the TPC River Highlands course in the city of Cronwell, Connecticut. Gonzalo already faced this challenge last year, just one week after finishing 10th in the US Open at Merion. He missed the cut by just one shot. Now, it's time to change the story around. Since things didn't go as planned at Pinehurst, it's time to shine at The Travelers.
