Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (+6) suffered a harsh punishment at the start of the 2020 season after shooting a 78 in the first round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship, held at Leopard Creek (Malelane, South Africa).
The Spanish golfer found himself out of line one too many times, with too many errors on the tee shots, which got him into trouble on the course, where it’s crucial to keep the ball in play, to the point at which he finished the round with three double bogeys on his card.
The work at hand will be very tough and extremely complicated, due to the fact that the cut is currently situated at +1, although at least he’ll be playing in the morning, when the results were slightly better in this opening round.
