Things didn’t go too well for Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (PAR) in the first round of the Omega European Masters, held at the Crans-Sur Sierre Golf Club (Crans-Montana, Switzerland), although it’s fire from a dire situation. The Spanish golfer was too inconsistent, ups and downs between error and accuracy, finishing the round with four birdies and four bogeys, placing him outside the cut line at the moment, which could go up to -2 this Friday.
Gonzalo hit more than seventy percent of the regulation greens, once again, but he wasn’t especially on point in the recoveries around the greens, nor with the putter.
The golfer from Madrid will play in the second round in the afternoon session, starting at 2:20 pm.
