Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (+3) did not get off on the right foot in the BMW International Open, with a 75 in the first round at the Golfclub München Eichenried, far from the top of the rankings.
The Spanish golfer was too inconsistent in his tee to green game and, he wasn’t able to reign it in with the problems with his putter either, finishing the round with five bogeys and just two birdies.
In any event, he still has time to make up for lost ground in the second round, and the cut is currently situated at PAR, and could even go up to +1 this Friday. That being said, he’ll definitely need to shoot under par in the next round to turn the situation around.
Gonzalo will play in the second round in the afternoon, starting at 2:00 pm.
