Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (PAR) managed to get through the complicated first round of the Made in Denmark, despite having finished with a bogey on the 9th hole. The Spanish golfer, who played on the Himmerland Golf course in the afternoon (Farso, Denmark), with difficult weather conditions due to strong, gusty winds, was able to make a comeback from the bogey on the 15th hole (the sixth hole of his round).
He responded right off the bat with an amazing birdie on the 16th and, on top of that, in the last stretch of the round, he made one of the twelve eagles of the day on the 5th hole, par 5.
The weather forecast shows even more wind in the second round, in which the golfer from Madrid will play in the morning. Fernández Castaño is currently situated within the cut line, which could go up to +1 tomorrow, and just five shots from the leader, rankings are pretty tight.
