Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-2) finished out his participation in the Kenya Open with a score of 72, one over par for the day on the course, which caused him to go down twenty spots in the rankings, ending up in 45th place.
It's not a great score, much less so considering that he went into the last third of the round with a score of -3, and with an accumulated total of -3 and options to finish in the hot zone on the scoreboard, but a double bogey on the 15th hole, which had happened to him in all four rounds, stopped him dead in his tracks.
The golfer from Madrid returned home, to the other side of the Atlantic in Miami, after three weeks straight of competition with no great score, nor good news. But, he also left with a few good points as far as the long process in the technical changes that he's been undergoing. The second round, with 28 shots on the second nine holes, as well as the great attitude he had throughout the entire 72 holes, are both very positive points to take with him and to keep in mind, although for the moment, all the work he's done still hasn't really begun to pay off in the way he had hoped.
