Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-3) shot a 69 in the third round of the Saudi International, maintaining his consistently solid play, and above all, his progression, seeing as how his long game, his main preoccupation in the start of 2019, is now back on track.
He continues to improve his stats of fairways caught off the tee and regulation greens caught day after day, for a total of five birdies, once again, just like he did on Friday. And there's still one last round to attempt to move up in the rankings (he’ll be starting off in 36th place), and thus officially begin to accumulate points in the Race to Dubai, after missing five of the last six cuts.
The Spanish golfer will play on Sunday starting at 7:44 am (Spanish time) together with young British golfer, Sam Horsfield, very far from the leaders, thirteen shots from Dustin Johnson and Haotong Li, five from the top ten, and just two from the top 25 of the tournament, a more attainable goal.
