Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño missed the cut in the Omega European Masters by just one shot. The golfer from Madrid came back in the second round when he shot a 69, but he didn’t manage to make it through the weekend. His score was on the brink the entire day, going and in and out of the established cut line, but he did not make it in the end.
Evidently, it’s a setback for Gonzalo, although his game was much better than reflected in the final score, thus he has total and complete confidence that things will go better in the following weeks.
The best place to make a comeback is precisely the next tournament, the KLM Open. It’s always been a special place for Gonzalo, as that’s where he took home his first victory as a professional in the European Tour in 2005.
