Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (PAR) did not make the cut in the Price Cutter Charity Championship after shooting a 75 in the second round. Precisely in one of the tournaments where it is almost obligatory to be highly accurate on the greens, with the leader at -15 and the cut at -7, on one of the simplest courses on the calendar, the golfer from Madrid was not on point in that aspect of the game.
The double bogey on the 9th hole practically canceled out a promising start with two birdies during the first third of the second round. Thereafter, conscious of the fact that the cut was going to cost him, the sense of urgency and the slight anxiety didn’t help in turning things around and making a comeback.
Things didn't go well in Missouri for the Spanish golfer, who must now turn the page and start a new chapter in the KC Golf Classic held next week in the neighboring state, Kansas.
