The golfer from Madrid started off with a bogey on the 1st hole, although he didn’t make another one the rest of the day, finishing with four birdies after a very controlled round. The problem is that in the past five years, a -5 has been necessary after the second round to make the cut in this tournament, so simply put, Gonzalo will have to improve his performance on the greens to climb up in the rankings and to keep the leaders from slipping too far out of his reach.
