Tough start for Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño in the Chitimacha Louisiana Open, Web.com Tour tournament held on the Le Triomphe course in Broussard. The Spanish golfer was not on point off the tee as he only caught four fairways, but even so, he managed to squeeze out a round under par, which means all of his options in the tournament remain in tact.
Gonzalo is currently within the established cut after turning in a card with four birdies and three bogeys. He maximized his opportunities for birdies, and he was able to see through half of the recoveries. Great work which will allow him to continue in the fight, although he’ll have to shoot under par again on Friday in order to make the cut.
Gonzalo’s second round will start at 6:45 pm, Spanish time.
