The Wells Fargo Championship will begin this Thursday, PGA Tour tournament held at Eagle Point Golf Club in North Carolina. Based on Gonzalo’s performance as of late these past two weeks (Valero Texas Open and Zurich Classic), it’s safe to say that the Madrid native will go into the tournament in the best condition in a long time.
Gonzalo has been playing very good golf throughout the past weeks. He’s been solid from tee to green and with the putter he’s been on fire almost since the start of the season. It’s the perfect mix to make his way to the top of the tournaments. He already did it in Texas and took center stage once again in Zurich, despite not having made the second cut in a pairs tournament.
It’s also Gonzalo’s third consecutive week of competition. It’s important to keep in mind due to the fact that he hasn’t been able to maintain that level of consistency since January and getting into the flow of competition is only attainable by...competing.
For the moment, all theory. Now it’s time to put it into practice. Gonzalo will play starting at 6:00 pm (Spanish time) with Mark Wilson and Harris English.
