Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will play in the Career Builder Challenge, PGA Tour tournament held in La Quinta, California. It will be the Spanish golfer’s second tournament in 2017 after having made the cut last week in the Sony Open.
The Career Builder is an unique tournament. It’s played in the Pro-Am format, on three separate courses: TPC Stadium Course, the Nicklaus Course and the La Quinta Course. The cut will be established on Saturday after all the golfers have played on all of the courses. Gonzalo will begin his participation this Thursday at TPC Stadium Course, starting at six in the afternoon, Spanish time, with Shawn Stefani.
Gonzalo played in this tournament in 2015. It was called the Humana Challenge then. He made the cut and finished in 59th place. The Madrid native will arrive in good spirits after playing in Hawaii. It wasn’t the weekend he had hoped for, but he came out with some positive conclusions.
Before the tournament, Gonzalo had the opportunity to spend time with his good friend, also a professional Spanish golfer, José Manuel Lara, who is currently on vacation in California.
