Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a 74 in the third round of the Sanderson Farms Championship, PGA Tour tournament held on the Country Club of Jackson course in Mississippi.
A step back for the Madrid native. He went down more than twenty spots in the rankings after a very inconsistent round, very tough, in which a few short putts that escaped out from under his fingertips and the inconsistency off the tee kept him from gaining ground.
Gonzalo lost ground in the rankings, but it’s also true that he’s got a whole day ahead on Sunday to have a big round and to recover those spots he lost on the scoreboard. What counts is everything to do with accumulating points and dollars at the end of the season, it all adds up.
Gonzalo will play this Sunday at 10:02 am, local time, 4:02 pm in Spain, with David Toms and Bill Lunde.
