Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will make his second stop of the Web.com Tour Final Series this Thursday. The Spanish golfer will play in the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft Nabisco, tournament held on the Hillcrest CC Course in Idaho.
Gonzalo will arrive to this historic course, inaugurated in 1925 and always present on the Web.com Tour calendar since the tour was born in 1990, very confident in his game, reinforced by his performance in the first tournament of the Final Series. He finished in 16th place in the DAP Championship after an incredible Sunday (67 shots) and he is now in 12th place of the 25 who will go home with the PGA Tour card in hand when the four tournaments of the Final Series have come to an end.
Thus, Gonzalo will go into the tournament in good standing at an old well-known course of the Web.com Tour, although the Spanish golfer will be playing there for the first time. The course record is held by Russell Knox. The Scottish golfer shot a 59 in 2013. It’s a course that’s not overly difficult, although it’s tricky because of all the changes in height. Keep in mind that a spot in the top four would automatically secure the PGA Tour card.
Gonzalo will play on Thursday at 8:33 am, local time, eight hours more in Spain. He will play alongside Kyle Thompson and Andrew Landry.
