Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño (-6) shot another 68 in the second round of the Digital Ally Open, Web.com Tour tournament held at the Nicklaus GC course at Lionsgate in Kansas City.
A good round for the Madrid native, with five birdies and two bogeys, which more than allowed for him to make the cut although he is still pretty far from the lead. To be precise, the top ten is three shots away and the leader is six.
Gonzalo caught ten fairways and twelve greens and started the round off strong again, with birdies on the 1st and 2nd holes. That being said, the Spanish golfer will have to switch gears to take it up a notch to reach the top of the tournament which is what really counts toward points for the top 25 of the Web.com Tour.
He'll have another opportunity today to get close to the leading positions in the third round of the tournament. He'll play at 8:50 am local time, 3:30 pm in Spain, with Argentinian golfer, Julián Etulain.
