Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño turned in a card for PAR in the first round of the Lincoln Land Charity Championship, Web.com Tour tournament held at the Panther Creek Country Club in Illinois.
The Spanish golfer made two birdies and two pars in a very tough day with the shots to green. It was a rigorous round. In fact, Gonzalo only caught eight greens but was able to pull off eight out of ten recoveries. An amazing round as far as his short game.
In any event, the score of par puts him at two shots away from the provisional cut of the tournament, which means that he'll have to fight hard in order to make the cut on Friday and to be able to add it as the eighth consecutive cut he's made this stretch.
Gonzalo will play in the second round at 12:30 am local time, seven hours more Spanish time.
