Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a 70 in the second round of the LECOM Health Challenge and will make it through yet another week and another cut in the Web.com Tour.
The Madrid native is currently at a total of four under par, just enough to be able to play over the weekend. There are 36 holes left to be able to switch gears in the tournament for things to start looking up. It’s the backbone of the Web.com Tour, where the level of play is high and in which it’s necessary to make many birdies each day in order to be among the top. Gonzalo made three birdies, an eagle and two bogeys yesterday. He’s four shots from the top ten and eight from the leader, Rhein Gibson.
The second round was suspended due to lack of light, but Gonzalo who played in the morning, was able to turn in his card and he will make the cut, regardless of whatever else happens.
