Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a par in the third round of the Nashville Golf Open, new edition of the Web.com Tour. A score of par is never a bad result in itself, however considering all the other scores from this Saturday, it was not enough to move up in the rankings.
Gonzalo got bumped down ten places in a round in which he did everything on the par 5s. He started off with three bogeys on the first nine holes, two on par 5s and ended up on the back nine with seven pars, an eagle and a birdie, all on par 5s of course. A strange round that started out badly, but which he was able untangle in time.
The Spanish golfer will be going for a good round on Sunday which will allow him to move up on the scoreboard and to improve his situation regarding the top 25 of the Web.com Tour. He’ll play with Xander Schauffele st 3:39 pm, Spanish time.
