Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño (-3) shot a 70 in the second round of the Nashville Golf Open, Web.com Tour tournament held at the club bearing the same name, in Tennessee.
A good round of golf for the Madrid native who’s moved up fifteen places in the rankings and is now in the top 30, just three shots away from the top ten. Gonzalo improved significantly in the round, finishing off excellently on the back nine, with six pars and three birdies, two of which were par 3s.
Gonzalo wasn’t on point from tee to green, although it’s not exactly easy to catch the fairways at the Nashville Golf and Athletic Club. However, he was able to recover nicely around the greens and was solid on the putter.
Gonzalo now has the entire weekend ahead to continue gaining ground, while maintaining the high level of play from the past few weeks on his quest to finish among the top positions which will give him the necessary confidence and help him reach his ultimate goal which is to end up in the top 25 of the Web.com Tour.
