Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will start the new European Tour season this Thursday in the Alfred Dunhill Championship in Leopard Creek, South Africa. He’s received an invitation which will allow him to participate, seeing as how he wouldn’t have access to the tournament otherwise, solely based on his category.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño was unable to improve his category through the European Tour School. The golfer from Madrid played in the Final on the Lumine Golf course in Tarragona, but did not manage to make the cut.

Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño (PAR) shot a 71 in the first round of the Qualifying School Final on the Lakes Course. A modest start. Not bad, but he’ll have to make up for some lost ground. Then again, he’s also got plenty of room to work with in this six-round tournament.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will start the grande finale of the European Tour Qualifying School this Friday on the Lumine Golf course in Tarragona. Once again, the golfer from Madrid will attempt to secure the complete rights to play in the European Tour next year, and to improve his current category.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-4) shot a 71 in the fourth and final round of the Portugal Masters, resulting in a definitive 127th place in the Race to Dubai, after the last stop on the regular calendar at the Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura.
