Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño shot a 70 in the first round of the Scandinavian Invitational, PAR, just barely within the provisional cut. It’s not a bad start on the Hills Golf Club course in Gothenburg (Sweden), but the finale left a bittersweet taste in his mouth, seeing as how the round was going much better in the beginning, and then things got complicated after two bogeys on the last four holes.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-9) closed the D+D Czech Masters with a 72, par for the day, which bumped him up to 23rd place. It’s not, by any means, what the Spanish golfer had hoped for, but he did manage to finish out his performance at the Albatross Golf Resort with another solid round of golf in which he continued to accumulate points, in search of that first main objective, which is to make it to the top 110 in the Race to Dubai in order to secure the complete rights to play in 2020 (he’s currently in 121st place in the Race, just 36 points from reaching 110th).
Excellent third round for Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-9) in the D+D Real Czech Masters, 67 shots at the Albatross Golf Resort, five under par for the day, finishing off with a solid comeback, moving up 27 spots in the rankings.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño will play in the D+D Real Czech Masters over the weekend after a tough second round, but nonetheless, with a happy ending. The golfer from Madrid was on the edge throughout the whole day, fighting to make the cut, which was set at -3 in the end.
Gonzalo Fernández-Castaño is back to ‘school’ after a five-week break, because of the way the European Tour calendar is structured. The golfer from Madrid is back in action with his best foot forward. He had a good first round of 70 shots in the D+D Real Czech Challenge, and he’s now positioned in the upper-middle section of the rankings.
Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (-6) missed the second cut in the Scottish Open, which happens when eighty or more golfers make the first cut, which was the case this time. He shot a 73, two over par for the day, leaving him outside the establish cut line, which is logical when taking into consideration that the average number of shots per golfer at the Renaissance Club was 68.4.
